What are Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers contain a product called hyalauranic acid. Depending on the reason for treatment, the filler will be a range between very soft and hydrating, to very firm and lifting. Most fillers will contain lidocaine which will numb the area, however in cases of allergy to anaesthetics dermal fillers do also come without lidocaine.

  • Backs of hands
  • Tear trough
  • Lips

Treatment Description

Typically the area will be numbed prior with a topical anaesthetic cream. Then the skin is cleansed and antiseptic applied. A needle or cannula is then used to deposit the product into the desired area. Treatment time is usually up to 15 min, however if there are multiple areas a longer time should be allowed. A post antiseptic will be applied prior to the patient leaving the clinic.
