Treatment Description:

A facial is a skin treatment that cleanses pores, exfoliates away dead skin cells, and treats common skin concerns with a custom mask or peel. This multi- step process is meant to rejuvenate and nourish the skin.

How it Works?

A deep cleaning, followed by some kind of pimple/blemish extraction, a massage, a mask or peel, and a final application of some type of moisturiser.

What to Expect During the Treatment?

Cleanse, exfoliation, extraction, massage/peel and masks.

You may be asked to take your top off.

Your treatment will depend on your skin type.

Before Treatment:

You should wash your face before the facial experience. The goal is to arrive at the facial appointment in your most hygienic state.

You should shower before a facial. A shower loosens the pores and prepares the body for detox, which will help the Treatment.

No, do not wear make – up to a facial treatment. Make – up clogs the skin, and we need to work with a clean state.

Skip the topical face creams for a week prior to treatment.

Treatment Aftercare:

Yes, wash your face gently on the following day after the facial. However, avoid taking a shower immediately after.

No, avoid makeup and heavy skincare products after the facial. Makeup sits in the pores for hours after application. Let your skin breath before and after treatment.

No, don’t exercise after a facial. Sweating after the facial treatment is not a good look. The sweat can irritate your skin and undo the effects of the beauty products.

Stay away from prolonged Sun exposure after a facial. Avoid the sun as much as possible. If you must go outside wear clothing to protect you from Sun damaged skin.

How Long Do the Benefits Last?

Usually, the results of the facial will last for about 4 – 6 weeks for most skin types.

Repeat Treatments:

Every 4 – 6 weeks.

A course of 6 treatments is recommended.

Safety, Precautions and Side Effects:

Allergies may occur for those of us who may yet be unaware of our skin’s sensitivities.

Breakouts – especially so for acne- prone skin, it is recommended to ask about the procedures of a facial treatment before having it done.

Itching or reddening – Your skin will be deeply cleansed at the start of a facial treatment to prepare for better absorption of the active ingredients in the serums or moisturisers afterward.

Contraindications that PREVENT a facial treatment: Viruses such as colds, FLU, COVID19, fever, cold sores, warts, Bacterial infections such as impetigo, boils, conjunctivitis, styes, Fungal infections such as ringworm, blepharitis, Undiagnosed lumps or swelling, Broken bones, known sensitivity or allergy to products.

Am I Suitable for the Treatment?

You can start having a facial from the beginning of puberty as the skin goes through hormonal changes. Facials can be done regularly for best results. It can be done at any time of the year.
